Parking and No Parking Zones in Dietikon
To ensure a smooth moving day, the moving truck needs sufficient space in front of the building where items are being loaded and unloaded. In Dietikon, the Blue Zone applies around the train station and in large parts of the city center: daytime parking is limited to 1 hour (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). This is not sufficient for a moving truck.
Requests for no-parking zones for relocations must be submitted to the Dietikon City Police ([email protected]/044 740 17 77) well in advance, at least 1 to 2 weeks before the scheduled date. There is a fee for this service.
Moving service Zürich GmbH will handle the parking reservation and all communication with the city police. You don’t have to worry about it.

Dietikon is located directly on the A1, easily accessible from both Zurich (Dietikon exit) and Baden. The Dietikon train station is a hub for S-Bahn lines S11 (Aarau, Zurich Central Station, Wila) and S12 (Brugg, Zurich Central Station). The travel time to Zurich Central Station is about 10 to 11 minutes.
Important for moving day: The A1 connection ensures efficient access and departure for the moving truck, even when multiple trips are required, especially for larger relocations involving several transport runs.
